“I learned to appreciate the heartfelt efforts and results of home cooking at my mother’s table, where family dinners were rarely missed. This was not only the gathering place to enjoy super flavorful and healthy dishes, it was also the place where my family came together, shared the events of the day, offered support, and re-connected. The offering of a great meal became the promise of something more.

I began cooking with my mom at a very young age. She is my inspiration and her years of good advice and techniques echo through my mind with every meal I lovingly prepare. She would always say, “This is how I learned to cook and I have adjusted the recipes to make them my own to please our family. When you grow up and have your own family, you will do the same. Always make it your own." When people asked what she did to make everything taste so good, her response always was and still is, "because I put my heart in it.”

My mom, to this day, is the best cook I have ever known.

In my Middle Eastern culture, the way a meal is prepared and how it tastes is a direct reflection of the person/family preparing it. My family, for many years, has etched its name and good reputation as being the Best of the Best. The secret is in our "Baharat", or spice. This recipe has been passed down from generation to generation and now, this secret recipe, is safe with me. I am honored and I take great pleasure in sharing my Middle Eastern fare with you. You may have tasted Middle Eastern food before, but you've never had it quite like mine.”

Today, just as my mom had predicted, I have made it my own and I too, have put my heart into it... I am happy to be spoiling my husband Shon, our son Brett and all of you!
